The Rock Church is participating in a state wide petition signing campaign in support of the California Marriage Amendment.

This will amend the California Constitution to provide that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California. The goal is to get 1 million signatures by April 28th.

If successful the Marriage Amendment would be placed on the November ballot and if passed would amend the California constitution to affirm that marriage is defined as between one woman and one man (A judge would not be able to overturn).

The Rock Church's strategy to support this effort is three fold:

1. We are inviting everyone who attends the Rock who is a registered voter in California to consider signing this proposition.
2. We are asking everyone to take 2 petitions home with them to have friends and neighbors sign them and then return them to the Rock.
3. We are inviting interested people to set up teams (of 2 or more) to collect signatures at public stores, malls or universities.
