Pas sion [pash-uhn]- noun
Any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, such as love.

This is the last part of the powerful Do Something series.

Living with passion means fulfilling your purpose even if it means loving your enemies while they are in the act of attacking you.

1.
Living with passion means being fully committed to relying only on the preparations God has made for you. God has prepared each of us for a purpose, a cause. It is up to us to go after that cause, complete our plan, and do so with passion, with strong emotions. Miles pointed out that it won't be easy but we need to live with passion. In John 19 we find Jesus has been persecuted, beaten and crucified. His disciples have left him (one betrayed him and Miles brings up a great point about that) but Jesus still completed His plan. The strong, compelling emotion of love had Him do so; His passion to free us of sin.

2.
Living with passion means fulfilling your purpose even if it means loving your enemies while they are in the act of attacking you. We will be attacked and in a variety of ways. Ever notice that the most painful attackers are those that are closest to us? Those that betray us? Miles talked about a pastor who stabbed him in the back; a fellow pastor of all people. We are to love our enemies anyways. In Luke 23 we see that Jesus is dying on the cross and what does he say to the soldiers killing him? The Pharisees mocking him? In verse 34 we see. He is asking God to forgive His enemies for they know not what they do. What an example.

3.
Living with passion means voluntarily walking into situation that cause pain. We all go through struggles, trials and frankly crap. It is part of life but look at what Jesus went through. He already knew as we see in Luke 22:44 we see Jesus is praying and sweating drops of blood as He knew what was going to happen, He knew He was going to die. But He did it anyways because he loved us with such passion.

Passion is so committed to the purpose of God's power that it will drive you to be subjected to it before you are an instrument of His power.

4.
Passion is so committed to the purpose of God's power that it will drive you to be subjected to it before you are an instrument of His power. In John 18:6 we read "Now when He said to them, 'I am He,' they drew back and fell to the ground." Jesus was being arrested and when they asked if he was Jesus of Nazareth Jesus spoke and they all fell down. But in verse 12 we see that Jesus was arrested and bound. He didn't need to submit to this and could have escaped at any moment, but didn't. His passion kept Him on his purpose.

5.
Passion itself strives each day to hear the Father say, well done, good and faithful servant. Ever realize that when we enjoy something we can do it better, easier and for longer? Usually because we are passionate about it. When we are passionate about doing something to glorify God God will bless us. Look what Jesus did; He gave up his life, gave up everything for His love, His passion for us.
