In the book of Acts, Chapter 6 verses 1-7, the story is told of the "seven" who were chosen to "serve tables" (provide food services) so that the spiritual leaders could spend their time in prayer and scripture. Those chosen were to be "filled with the spirit and wisdom."
The Rock Church has several events each year that require the serving of food. Our ministry is created to fill that need, i.e., acquisition and preparation of food, set-up, serving, clean-up, etc. We need volunteers with varying gifts, including cooks, food service workers, those who may have relationships in the food/beverage industry- wholesale or retail, trucks, big strong guys, and/or, those who may be able to contribute financially. But mostly, we just need people who have a heart to help!
