Recycling Ministry

D.U.H. Recycling Ministry is a group of Christ followers willing to engage the community by asking for and collecting C.R.V recyclable trash and turning it into treasure to serve and save the lives of (D) desperate (U) underprivileged and (H) hungry children living in Africa that are stricken by severe, debilitating poverty.

We collect C.R.V. recyclable beverage containers made from plastic, and aluminum and turn them in for the C.R.V. refund amount. These funds provide D.U.H. children with sponsorship into the World Vision HopeChild Program. By partnering with World Vision we are helping tackle the wide variety of poverty issues these children face everyday while utilizing a Christian humanitarian program that introduces them to Christ’s Love.

We provide the Rock Church members a vehicle to become an evangelistic monster in San Diego. We challenge and empower our members with opportunities to engage their individual communities by encouraging them to set up recycling collection sites in their work spaces and to reach out and ask their neighbors and friends on a weekly basis for their recyclables. Our goal is for the Rock Church members to use this ministry as a witnessing opportunity by communicating what we are accomplishing through our unified efforts. We will we become a witness of Christ’s love to those who do not know Him while exemplifying the Rock Church’s ‘do something attitude.
