What kind of funds can recycling really generate for these children?
THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE! CHECK THIS OUT!
Recycling basics -
The numbers below only reflect the C.R.V (California Refund Value) amount. 100% of this CRV fund will be going toward serving and saving the lives of these children with sponsorship into World Vision.
We will receive "scrap and processing" payments on top of this CRV amount that will go toward operating costs and the outreach ministries here at the Rock. The scrap value fluxes each week with the economy for the material types. But will be an additional amount of aprox $.50 - $.85 more per pound of aluminum, and approximately $.10 - $.20 more per pound of plastic #1. The numbers below ONLY reflect the CRV funds that go toward sponsorships.
(Example: Using only aluminum cans, assuming that each person is participating in our 5 'n' 1 program. Which breaks down to 25 cans of your own, 25 from 5 of your neighbors/friends and 100 cans from your work space = 250 cans per week.)
1,000 members - (250 cans a week)
2,500 members - (250 cans a week)
4,000 members - (250 cans a week)
Cost of sponsoring a child into the World Vision HopeChild Program.
With only 500 members out of our more then 10,000 members participating in our 5 'n' 1 recycling program we could serve and save the lives of more then 595 children each year!
