Bio of LaRoya V. Jordan
Pastor LaRoya V. Jordan is the Director of Christian Education at Faithful Central Bible Church in Inglewood, Ca. where Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer is the Senior Pastor and Teacher. Currently, she is successfully coordinating and managing thirty-one adult and children programs that include the Carpenter’s Workshop Summer Day Camp, held in June and Children’s Church held every Sunday at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood. Highly skilled in the area of administration, she also writes and develops the monthly curriculums for pre-school through grade twelve. She has also developed a teacher’s training program with an accompanying manual
As a wife and mother to four daughters, she stills finds time for continuous learning. She received her Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership and Masters in Education. Presently, she is attending the Walden University PhD program in Education. She completed both degrees at Biola University in La Mirada, California. Throughout this busy schedule, she continues to create on-going staff development programs and workshops that facilitate over 200 teachers and volunteers. This is to augment the high volume of weekly participation the church has of over 500 children. She is a board member of the California Advocacy for Black Women’s Health Programs and the Al Wooten Center located here in Los Angeles. In abiding by her motto, “Who wouldn’t serve Him?” Pastor Jordan feels that it is an awesome opportunity and responsibility to serve God through serving His people. She has done this by example before her husband and her children. She practices speaking God’s Word in every situation, reminding them constantly of God’s plan for our lives- making sure I am a “doer and not a hearer only”.
