Easter Sunday at the Rock. With 9 different services, music from the Rock Choir & Orchestra along with the childrens choir, Trevor Davis and Future of Forestry...it was a beautiful day to worship and celebrate Christ's victory over death & the free gift of eternal life we have as a result. The Rock family came together to celebrate Christ's death on the cross for our sins. The sanctuary was packed for our 1st Good Friday service at Liberty Station & there was another 500+ folks watching in the cafeteria. The Katinas lead us in a great evening of praise & worship and Pastor Miles shared the Good News of Christ's death & resurrection.

The Rock Academy Lady Warriors defeated the Hoover Cardinals yesterday in an exciting game at City Heights Rec Center. It was a high scoring offensive slugfest, as the Warriors won 9-6. This was their first win for the Rock...1st of many to come. Congratulations Lady Warriors!

On March 10th, the Rock Church, in partnership with Envision Homes, broke ground on a new home for a family of nine left homeless by the October 2007 wildfires. The home is being donated to the Olesons and will be completed in July of 2008.

The high school and jr high Academy students spent a few days in the mountains around Lake Arrowhead getting to know each other. The weather was cool, skies blue, and God was very present at Alpine Camp & Conference Center that week.

The 6th graders spent the week at Indian Hills Camp in Jamul. It was a great time to get away to the outdoors and closer to God's creation. The week was spent fulfilling their outdoor education requirements for school, but there was plenty of time for fun as well.

The Men of the Rock celebrated the graduation of their 2nd class of Ironmen. MOTR Ironmen is a 1 year discipleship program for men who want to bond into an elite group of warriors and leaders. The requirements are daily study, reading, workbooks, class attendance, prayer and accountability.
